Description
Quad Rings are designed with a section of four lobes, significantly improving sealing capabilities. The four lobes offer a symmetrical design that enhances sealing capacity and creates an effective oil groove. This design reduces diametrical compression requirements compared to O-Rings, resulting in lower friction and increased seal life due to reduced wear in dynamic applications.
Available in Nitrile as standard, Quad Rings can be supplied in nearly all sizes found in the British Imperial O-Ring range, with metric dimensions available upon request. The most popular material for Quad Rings is Nitrile, suitable for most applications. For higher temperature resistance, Viton Quad Rings are also available, offering superior sealing performance with an elastomer that can withstand greater temperature ranges.
One key advantage of Quad Rings is their ability to resist rolling and twisting due to their relatively square cross-section. This stability makes them an ideal choice for dynamic applications, providing a reliable and long-lasting seal that engineers can trust.
