The ARaymond Network has recently celebrated 150 years of innovation and TFC are delighted to have been associated with them for over 25 years.
Founded in the late 19th century, ARaymond has remained a 100% family owned company that has evolved from a small factory into a world-class organisation with a global reach. The fifth generation is now selling almost 1 billion Euro (in 2015) of innovative moulded and spring steel products predominantly to the automotive market.
Back in 1865 when Albert-Pierre Raymond invented what was to become the eponymous ‘Press Stud’ to replace a more traditional but less practical glove button, it was hard to imagine that this humble fastener would prove the catalyst for such innovation. Initially, development took place with the use of spring steel to replace conventional threaded screws and bolts but in the 1970’s many of these products were being surpassed by the introduction of injection moulded plastic fasteners that were able to offer better vibration and corrosion free properties.
TFC have been involved within the spring steel and injection moulded fastener industry for over 40 years and we are pleased to continue to ally ourselves with the market leaders in this unique industry area. As a leading technical distributor our internal and field sales engineers are ably qualified to advise on the type and suitability of each specific fastener type to ensure our customers receive the most suitable product for their application
Our Panel Fasteners are mostly produced from nylon/acetal and are designed to hold two or more panels together simply and securely. They can accommodate a wide variation of panel thicknesses, are resistant to attack by most chemicals and generally can be applied by hand without the need for any specialist tools. For heavier duty applications we can provide products such as austempered carbon steel cage nuts, ˜U™ nuts, edge clips, sheet metal nuts, panel clips, metal tube fasteners and metal insert clips.
Our extensive selection of Wire, Pipe and Cable Management products are supplied primarily in moulded plastics and offer many solutions to the routing and securing of wires, cables and tubing of all shapes and sizes. These innovative products are non-conductive and offer strong resistant to attack by most chemicals whilst our spring steel ranges are ideal for heavy duty applications.
